Impacts of traffic accessibility on ecosystem services: An integrated spatial approach

چکیده
The continuous degradation of ecosystem services is an important challenge faced by the world. Improvements in transportation infrastructure have had substantial impacts on economic development and services. Exploring influence traffic accessibility can delay or stop their deterioration; however, studies its impact are lacking. This study addresses this gap analysing using integrated spatial regression approach based evaluation value (ESV) Middle Reaches Yangtze River Urban Agglomeration (MRYRUA) China. results indicated that ESV MRYRUA continuously decreased during period, average plain areas, areas surrounding core cities, along main routes was significantly lower than mountainous areas. Traffic continued to increase high-value centred Wuhan, Changsha, Nanchang, Yichang were radially distributed. global bivariate autocorrelation coefficient between negative. exhibited significant dependence heterogeneity. Spatial also proved there a negative association accessibility, scale effects evident. findings policy implications for future ecological protection planning.

Impacts of land-use management on ecosystem services and biodiversity: an agent-based modelling approach
The science of ecosystem service (ES) mapping has become increasingly sophisticated over the past 20 years, and examples of successfully integrating ES into management decisions at national and sub-national scales have begun to emerge. However, increasing model sophistication and accuracy-and therefore complexity-may trade-off with ease of use and applicability to real-world decision-making con...

According to several types of research, one of the most important issues and principles of sustainable development that urban professionals pay attention to it recently is Just City. One aspect of Justice in cities, spatial justice, has particular significance by Unequal and discordant Expanding in cities regarding creating unequal areas. On the other hand, the urban spatial structure affects t...

Worm et al. (Research Articles, 3 November 2006, p. 787) reported an increasing proportion of fisheries in a "collapsed" state. We show that this may be an artifact of their definition of collapse as a fixed percentage of the maximum and that an increase in the number of managed fisheries could produce similar patterns as an increase in fisheries with catches below 10% of the maximum.
متن کاملPolicy impacts of ecosystem services knowledge.
Research about ecosystem services (ES) often aims to generate knowledge that influences policies and institutions for conservation and human development. However, we have limited understanding of how decision-makers use ES knowledge or what factors facilitate use. Here we address this gap and report on, to our knowledge, the first quantitative analysis of the factors and conditions that explain...
متن کاملSustainability and Urban Dynamics: Assessing Future Impacts on Ecosystem Services
Sustainable management of a region’s critical and valued ecosystem resources requires an understanding about how these resource systems might function into the future. In urbanized areas, this requires the ability to frame the role of resources within the context of urban dynamics and the implications of policy and investment choices. In this paper we describe a three-step approach to assessing...
